State 596 Policy

NAP 15 is in effect during the week. Full state NAP is instituted for weekend Kill Events during Clash of Zones.

  • “NAP”, which is an acronym for No Attack Policy and/or Non-Aggression Pact, is an agreement between a number of ranked alliances (indicated by the number after the acronym NAP) where no player within those alliances can attack or scout another player within that number of ranked alliances without permission.
    • Example: NAP 15 means that no player within the top 15 ranked alliances can attack or scout another player within the top 15 ranked alliances, and vice versa.
  • Visual Guide of Daily NAP with time zone chart: bit.ly/596NAP
  • NAP includes Farm Accounts. Farms in a Farm Alliance are Protected by NAP on NAP days (ie empty your farms the day before NAP 0). Farm alliances MUST have tags that match your main alliance’s tag in some combination of letters.
  • Farm Alliances can only have farm accounts as members (defined as accounts run by the same player with the intention to create resources for a main account). Don’t hide main accounts / people you want to protect in your farms.

Attacking Rules:

  • 2 taps max on a target PER DAY; stronger players advised to tap once instead
  • DO NOT attack bases already on fire
  • DO NOT attack a base under 50% durability
  • DO NOT zero a base
  • Tile hitting is banned, unless consensual
  • For Launch Center battles, the attacking rules are suspended for any players in the mud

Defending Rules:

  • No restrictions apply in the defense of your base, your hive, or your farm
  • If an inquiry is requested by the Council, screenshots MUST be given that prove you are defending an attack.

Gestures of Provocation:

Both scouting someone’s base and linking someone’s coordinates in State Chat are gestures of provocation and should not be done between players of any alliances within the NAP, unless consensual.

Escalation of Issues:

  • When possible, disputes will be handled by the involved parties. Accidents happen. Please apologize and return the resources.
  • If this fails, screenshots should be shown to your r5 or Diplomat for resolution between involved alliances. This may result in the offending party’s alliance kicking said offender out of an alliance.
  • An emergency Council inquiry, convened by a minimum of 3 representatives from respective top 10 alliances (r4/r5), can be assigned to investigate any serious incidents such as but not limited to:
    • severe, unremorseful NAP break
    • non-sanctioned zero of a base
    • severe disputes between two or more alliances
  • In the case of alliance officers or Council involvement, parties involved in the incident in question will excuse themselves from being part of the committee of inquiry.

Emergency Inquiries

A severe violation is defined as an issue that can neither be resolved peacefully between involved parties, nor after involving their respective r5’s / diplomats. Involving the Council has serious repercussions. Council will convene and determine who is at fault.

  • First Offense: violator is zeroed by an executioner assigned by the Council. Resources are returned by the executioner. An executioner will always be someone powerful, so every hit will hurt. Badly.
  • Second Offense: violator is removed from their alliance and banned from any other top 15 alliance.

Expected Behavior

All players are encouraged to show goodwill to one another and refrain from deliberately causing unnecessary drama. We want players to stay, enjoy the game, and our state to thrive.

Below are notes to State 596 from our first President, Murderbot. Murderbot was president for the first 3 weeks that the Launch Center battle was available, but abdicated peacefully before our first Clash of Zones so we would have a level 25 player with the President buff that could counter the presidents and cabinet of other states.

GLOSSARY OF TERMS:

  • Council – The council is made up of the r5 and diplomat of the top 15 alliances. They communicate with each other using the software application “Line”
  • NAP – No Attack Policy, also Non-Aggression Pact. The number that appears after NAP indicates the number of alliances who have agreed not to attack other players within the number top ranked alliances indicated by that number. For example, NAP 15 means the top fifteen alliances agree not to attack each other for the good of the state.
  • Tap – a single attack by one APC
  • Mud – defined as the brown area surrounding the Launch Center within which all movement is slowed.
  • Tile – a tile is a square on the world map that is not a base or alliance building, which is often but not always a plot of land with a resource in it.
  • Tile Hitting – forcibly evicting another player’s APC from a resource or a plot of land, and killing troops in the process
  • RSS – an abbreviation for “resources”
  • Zero – used as a verb, “to zero” someone’s base means to reduce their durability to zero percent, which causes a random teleport – this moves them from their current location to another random location on the world map.
